The Izutsu Library Series on Oriental Philosophy aims at providing conceptual
“space” to construct an Oriental philosophy and at contributing to the
development of thought in the twenty-first century. This series, a long-term
project, will publish translations into Western languages such as English,
French, and German, with the expectation that the translations will themselves
naturally and necessarily open up a functional semantic field in which
the Orient encounters the Occident, and the traditional the existential
present.
