The editor Tatsuya Ota is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Law and Law School, Keio University in Tokyo, Japan, and a member of the Board Directors of the Japanese Association of Victimology since 1998. His research in recent years has focused on victimology and victim support, especially the victim's status in criminal proceedings, state compensation, restorative justice and domestic violence.
