Toshiko Sugino is a professor of English at National Defense Academy, Japan. She is the co-author of several books including How to Write a Better English Thesis and the translated version of The Aims of Argument: A brief rhetoric. She has published widely in the areas of second language acquisition, academic English, critical pedagogy, language policy and immigrant studies.
